ATI2dvag Blue Screen

3. Right click your AGP Controller (For example, SiS AGP) and select Update option.
4. Select automatic update option. If unsuccessful, try manual update option after downloading appropriate files from the manufacturer website.
5. Restart your computer.

Disable AGP FastWrite Feature

Many motherboards support the AGP FastWrite feature. Although your motherboard is capable of using it and it is already enabled by default, it can be interfering with other programs and Windows components.  Thus disable it by performing the steps given below:

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc

1. Double click My Computer icon on your desktop.
2. Open C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\Modules.d
3. Right click the file NVIDIA and select Open With | Notepad. If the file name is other than NVIDIA then open concerning file.
4. You’ll find the following line: options nvidia NVreg_EnableAGPFW=1 NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1
5. Replace 1 with 0 and save the settings by clicking File | Save.
6. Close the file and restart your machine.

Note:In some cases you’ll have to alter the BIOS Settings to disable the said functionality. Please visit the website of motherboard manufacturer for detailed information.

Check and Clean System Configurations

The registry of your computer may contain certain strings & keys which are incorrectly modified by some programs. Scan the registry errors and clean them as soon as possible. Download a genuine Registry Cleaner such as PC Fresher. 

Scan System Files

Some of the operating system files can be missing or replaced by malicious programs. Scan them using System File Checker as below:

The Multimedia Class Planner (MCP) service is usually responsible for error 807. It is displayed in the Services manager program which can be located as below:

2. Type Services.msc
3. Right click the service Multimedia Class Planner and select Properties.
4. In General tab, select Startup Type to Disabled.
5. Click the Stop button and then click OK.
6. Again, open Run, type RegEdit and press ENTER.
7. Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE => System => CurrentControlSet => Services => AudioSVR
8. Double click DependOnService string. Delete the line MMCSS from the value shown in it.
9. Click OK and close Registry Editor. 

Turn Off your Firewall and Antivirus Protections

Disable Firewall Protection

In some cases firewall and antivirus programs prevent your computer from connecting to a network thus causing error 807. Turn both of them off to fix the error.

1. Click Start, select Control Panel.
2. Click System and Security | Windows Firewall.
3. On the left hand side click Turn Windows Firewall On or Off link.
4. Make it turned off and click OK | Close.

The registry can have problem itself. Some of the settings stored in it can have changed because of which you’re getting error 807. It is simple to fix the registry. Restore the System

If you have chosen to make a restore point automatically, you may have a chance to restore your system to an earlier date and repair error 807.

Direct3d Error Repair Procedure in Windows (7, Vista and XP)

Step 1: Configure Hardware Acceleration 

This error can be repaired by configuring hardware acceleration to "full" scale. Follow the instructions given below. 

1. Click on Start | Search Box | Type “Display”
2. Click on Display Properties in Programs list.
3. Enter correct Admin login and password if prompted.

On Windows XP:

1. Click on Start | Run | Type “desk.cpl” | OK
2. Click on Settings | Advanced
3. Click on Troubleshooting on Performance tab
4. Move the Hardware Acceleration slider to right.
5. OK | Close
6. Restart your system if prompted.

Step 2: Enable Direct3D or DirectDraw

Below are some steps through which you can enable Direct3D or DirectDraw.

1. Click on Start | Search Box | Type “dxdiag” | Enter.
2. Enter Admin login and password if prompted.

In Windows XP:

1. Click on Start | Run | Type “dxdiage” | OK
2. Verify that DirectDraw and Direct3D Acceleration on Display tab are selected under DirectX Features.
3. Click on Enable if their status is Disabled

Step 3: Install Latest Version of DirectX

Direct3dD error can appear due to outdated version of DirectX. Download and Install the latest version of DirectX. In some cases users are unable to install the updates. If you are experiencing issues when downloading products, you should troubleshoot the problem especially when you cannot install updates.

Step 4: Update Video Driver

Direct3D error appears when your video driver is outdated. Update video driver automatically or by applying the steps given below.

1. Right Click on My Computer | Select Properties
2. Hardware | Device Manager
3. Check if Video Drive is marked with Yellow sign.
4. Check the vendor’s name through DirectX (start | run | type “dxdiag” )
5. Download latest version of video driver and restart your system.

Step 5: Limit Startup Items and Manage Background Services

When you start your operating system, lots of programs start automatically. These background running programs can interfere with other programs which results in Direct3D error. Use Microsoft Configuration utility to limit startup items and to manage background services.

1. Click on Start | Run
2. Type “msconfig” without quotes | Enter.
3. Click on Start up items | Uncheck unwanted startup items
4. Click on Services | Uncheck unwanted background services

Step 6: Disable NetMeeting’s RDS

When Remote Desktop Sharing is enabled, NetMeeting disables Direct3D. Disable NetMeeting’s RDS to avoid from Direct3D error.

1. Start NetMeeting | Click on Remote Desktop Sharing on the Tools menu
2. Clear Enable Remote Desktop Sharing on this computer | OK
3. Close NetMeeting

Step 7: Disable the Enable Write Combining (XP)

If above step did not work for you, disable the Enable Write Combining feature by following the instructions given below.

1. Click on Start | Control Panel | Display
2. Click Advanced on Settings tab
3. Click on Troubleshoot tab| Check clear Enable Write Combining
4. OK | OK again

Method 8: Create Fresh User Profile

If Direct3D error continues to appear on your system, create a fresh user profile. Follow the instructions given below.

1. Click on Start | Run | Type “compmgmt.smc” without quotes | OK
2. Expand Local users and Groups | Right click Users | New Users
3. Type User Name and Password | Create
4. Place newly created profile under Administrator | OK

2. Type CMD in the Search box and press ENTER.
3. Type CleanMGR.EXE /sageset: 1 and then press ENTER.
4. Disk CleanUp will open. Mark all the items checked and then click OK. This will make Windows understand which items it should clean when it executes our scheduled task.
5. Click Start.
6. Type Task Scheduler in the Search box and press ENTER.
7. Click the Action menu and select Create Basic Task.
8. A wizard will appear on your screen. Type a name, say Clean-Up the Disk Automatically. Type a description, say Delete temporary files to make your hard disk clean.
9. Answer When do you want the task to start? as Daily. Click Next.
10. Keep the default date, select a time comfortable for you and then click Next.
11. In What action do you want the task to perform? select Start a program. Click Next.
12. In Program/ Script, type C:\Windows\System32\CleanMGR.exe
13. In Add Arguments, type /sagerun:1
14. Click Next.
15. Confirm the settings and click Finish.

Make Changes to your Registry

Registry is the database where several settings are stored. Due to several reasons, these changes affect its performance. I have mentioned some registry tweaks below which will improve Windows 7 performance:

1. Click Start, type RegEdit and press ENTER.
2. Open the following location:
3. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
4. Double click MenuShowDelay. Replace 400 with 200 and click OK. The lower number you’ll specify here, the faster Start Menu will load.
5. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control.
6. Double click WaitToKillServiceTimeOut and replace 5000 with 1000. This is the timing specified after which unresponsive programs are automatically terminated.

Uninstall Unnecessary Software

• Click Start, right click My Computer. Select Properties.
• Click Advanced System Settings.
• Under Performance, click Settings.
• Select the option Adjust for Best Performance and click OK | OK.

Speed Up the Folder Browsing

To reduce the slight delay in browsing folders, change the settings given below:

• Open My Computer.
• Press Alt key of your keyboard, select Tools | Folder Options.
• Click the View tab. De-select the box named Automatically Search for Network Folders and Printers.
• Click Apply | OK.         

Stop Unwanted Services

Running a number of services increase the load on your processor and computer runs slower. Improve Windows 7 performance by stopping the unwanted services.

• Click Start, type Services.msc in the Search box. Press ENTER.
• Stop the following services:Indexing Service, NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing, Help and Support, Remote Registry Services, Human Interface Access Devices, Messenger, Remote Procedure Call Locator, Workstation and Wireless Zero Configuration.

Caution: Do this step at your own risk. Stopping a service can disable functionalities of depending programs.

Unload DLLs when Applications are Closed

DLLs are loaded by programs for loading their data. As default, after an application is closed, the DLLs loaded by it are unloaded after some period of time. This obviously wastes your RAM and your computer run slower. There is a feature called Always Unload DLL which should be enabled like below:

• Click Start, select Run. Type RegEdit and press ENTER.
• Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Explorer
• Make a new string with name AlwaysUnloadDLL. Double click it and type 1 as its value. Click OK.
• Close Registry Editor.

Disable Startups

Stop excessive programs from running every time your computer is started. For this task, System Configuration can be helpful.

• Click Start, select Run. Type MSCONFIG. Press ENTER.
• Deselect all items from the Startups tab except your antivirus program.
• Click Apply | OK.

Avoid System Overheating
